Good evening everyone,
Just a quick update on where we are in regards to opening the pick-your-own strawberry patch.
After watching the chance for rain on Saturday go up and it starting to look like the rain might start earlier in the day than we initially thought, we’ve decided to go ahead and open the strawberry patch for some picking tomorrow, Friday, April 21.
So, the patch will be open for pick-your-own during the Farm Store hours tomorrow (10 a.m. till 5:30 p.m.). The picking will be somewhat scattered, but there are definitely berries to be had already. We did get some rain this evening, so there may be some mud in the patch as well… It would be good if the ripe berries could be picked before we get a lot of rain this weekend.
As far as the schedule for Saturday is concerned, check the website (we’ll keep the home page hours up to date), Facebook Page or Instagram Account Saturday morning… any changes/updates to the schedule will be posted on our accounts and updated on the website.
Going Forward – PYO Hours
Starting next week we’ll go to our “regular PYO Strawberry hours” we’ll be open from 8 a.m. till 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday (although we’ll probably open later this coming Monday due to the amount of rain we are supposed to get over the weekend.)
Basically, before you come out to the farm to pick strawberries this spring, please check one of the following places for up to the day information.
- The home page of our Website
- Latest posts on our Facebook Page
- Latest posts on our Instagram Account
That should cover everything for now. We’ll send another email out at about the half way point of the season (you can subscribe below)… and another one at the end of the season.
Thanks for your support!
