We opened the Corn Maze last Saturday. It was a bit chilly and cloudy and eventually it rained.
However there were some brave folks who came and tried things out. ๐ Some of them even went through in the rain!
The Corn Maze will be open each Thursday Friday and Saturday from now until November 2, 2013. Hours are as follow.
- Thursday 2 pm till 7 pm
- Friday 10 am till 10 pm (Night Hours)*
- Saturday 10 am till 10 pm (Night Hours)*
- *Last group goes into the maze an hour before closing.
For all the info about the Corn Maze visit this page.
Also – if you would happen to come out today Corn Maze ticket prices will be $6 for everyone! That’s only for today though… (By today I mean Thursday 2013.09.26) ๐
Pumpkins
Along with the Corn Maze we are happy to have Pumpkins available.
You can either borrow a wagon and go pick your own or you can pick through the pumpkins that we have picked already.
Prices vary quite a bit… and you can find all of those over on the Pumpkin page..
Tomatoes
It’s almost time for tomatoes to start getting ripe.
We hope to have some ripe ones in two or three weeks!
Farm Store
One think you for sure don’t want to miss when you visit Yoders’ Farm is the Farm Store.
We’ve made some recent additions to what all is available. Although there are no Tomatoes available right now there is a bunch of other stuff!
- Jams/Jellies
- Some baked goods
- Apples
- Apple Cider
- Cook Books
- etc…
Strawberry Planting
I mentioned at the beginning that this is a busy time of the year for us.
Not only is the Corn Maze in operation, but we are also in the middle of planting next years strawberries!
So if you come out to the farm, be sure to take a peak at the little strawberry plants that have been freshly planted… ๐
Yoders’ Farm on Pinterest
Now here is a new thing for us!
Yoders’ Farm recently joined Pinterest.
I’ll admit that it is a new “Social Network” for me. I haven’t used it much in the past, but I think I’ll probably be learning a bunch about it in the coming weeks!
So go ahead and follow Yoders’ Farm on Pinterest!
Oh… and you can gain more entries into this weeks giveaway if you follow Yoders’ Farm and Pin a picture or two!
Snap Shots
This is something that has been in the works for a little while. But if you visit our website you will notice that there is a new link at the top of the page.
That link is called “Snap Shots.”
This is basically a place for me to upload and share my iPhone pictures of Farm related activities! Hopefully that will give you a glimpse into the “every day life” of Yoders’ Farm.
Conclusion
Well, that about wraps this blog post (or email) up!
Except to say that we do really appreciate each one of you. We would not be here and wouldn’t be able to offer the things that we do except for you guys!
So thanks, and we look forwards to seeing you soon,
Eldon Yoder – For all of us here at Yoders’ Farm
