We’ve decided that it would be good to open the PYO strawberry patch for a few hours of light picking tomorrow (Thursday 4/18) and Friday (4/19). The ripe berries aren’t there for us to open fully yet, but there are berries there that should be picked!
A few details to keep in mind.
– The picking will require walking the rows and being somewhat mobile, it might not be the best time to plan to pick a bunch of buskets full.
– If you’ve got younger children it may be better to wait till later in the season to bring them out to pick as you’ll be moving from row to row and will need to be a bit discerning about which berries are good and ripe.
– We’ll be running the PYO out of the Farm Store on Thursday and Friday so you’ll need to “check in” there before heading out to pick.
So, the PYO will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday and Friday for PYO and we’ll update here on the home page of our website if we need to close the PYO – please check back here for updates before coming out to the farm.
We’ll also have prepicked strawberries in the Farm Store on Thursday and Friday.
Details about our strawberries and pricing for PYO and prepicked can be found on the strawberry page of our website.
